About Us
Who We Are
Since 1982, Don Foster’s Dive Cayman has been one of the island’s most respected and beloved dive operations. For over four decades, we’ve shared our passion for the ocean with visitors and locals alike, inspiring safe, skilled, and environmentally conscious scuba divers. Our experienced instructors and guides are dedicated to helping every diver experience the beauty of the underwater world in new and unforgettable ways. As we evolve, our mission remains the same to teach, explore, and inspire a lifelong love for the ocean.
Where We Are
We are conveniently located at 218 South Church Street, George Town, just 600 yards from downtown and the harbor yet nestled within a peaceful residential neighborhood. Our dive shop, a charming traditional Caymanian-style building, overlooks the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. From here, divers enjoy easy access to Casuarina Point Reef and Devil’s Grotto, two of Grand Cayman’s most spectacular shore dive sites. Whether arriving by cruise ship or staying nearby, we’re just a short walk or drive from the island’s top attractions.
With every dive, we learn. With every student, we grow.
At Don Foster’s Dive Cayman, diving is not just a sport it’s a journey of discovery and connection. We believe that true divers are not only skilled but also mindful and respectful of the marine environment. Our instructors guide students to develop independence, confidence, and decision-making skills underwater. We strive to create divers who explore responsibly, protect marine life, and become ambassadors for the world’s oceans.
To teach, inspire, and empower divers to explore the ocean safely and responsibly while fostering a lifelong appreciation for marine life. We aim to deliver exceptional diving experiences that enrich lives and deepen respect for the underwater world.
To be the Cayman Islands’ leading dive experience where passion meets purpose, and where every dive inspires a deeper connection with the sea. We envision a community of divers who learn, grow, and advocate for the ocean, preserving its wonders for generations to come.

EXCELLENT Based on 172 reviews Posted on David RoopTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nick and his team were very helpful throughout the day. Lucky for us the sea was so calm we even got in a bit of snorkeling at the old sting ray city between dives. Great job!Posted on Ashley BriodyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an amazing time diving with Don Foster’s this week. We did an incredible Black Water Dive with the DFD in early April 2025 and would highly recommended both the team and the dive. We reached out a few weeks prior to our trip about doing the Black Water Dive and from initial request-through the dive-to post dive, Sergio and team went above and beyond. The Blackwater Dive involved going out just past sunset to about a mile off the coast of 7 mile beach in about 600ft deep water. We dropped a series of lights attached to a buoy and different depth from the surface to 80ft. The lights attract deep sea creatures rarely seen during the day or on a shallow reef. Sergio and team took care of everything. Including a detailed briefing and lots of tips on what to look for and how to best set up our cameras for the best shot. My wife was a little apprehensive at first, but after talking with Sergio and Lindsey she entered the water as excited as anyone. The dive was exceptional and included a pair of Silky sharks, one of which was very curious and stayed with us throughout the dive a d even escorted us back to the boat. If you are going to be in Grand Cayman for a few nights I strongly encourage you to reach out to schedule.Posted on Rachel SummarTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We experienced diving here back in December 1992 and then again recently in April 2025. Same great service and helpful staff. They took time to get us comfortable in the water again after not diving for a few years. Recommend them for beginners and experienced divers alike. They have so much to offer by way of 40 years of experience on Grand Cayman as well as being personal and fun to work with.Posted on JasperTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Black water dive was genuinely one the coolest experiences in my life, super cool and friendly staffPosted on Dean OlsenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nice dive shop. They accommodated us coming in on a cruise ship. Made a later departure time and made sure we made it back for our ship departure. Even let us dive on the Kittiwake per my request. I will definitely dive with them in the future.Posted on Jeffrey ShukisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Couldn’t recommend dive shop more. They accommodated exactly what i was looking for on short notice. Sergio, the owner, is a great guy who cares about the fish and the ocean as well as safety. One of the best dives i’ve done is right off their shore. Thank youPosted on Matthew WrolsenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We did a guided shore dive with Don Fosters, we had an excellent time. Our dive master was awesome, very thorough and made sure to point out all the aquatic life as we encountered them on our dive. Would highly recommend!Posted on Monica PTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Five starts all-around! Communication was prompt and friendly. The staff was great. The location is walking distance from the cruise port but in a quiet area. We were there during a cruise stop in early November, and it was so peaceful during our visit. My husband went diving while I stayed behind and snorkeled right from the shore in front of the dive shop. I had the privilege of hanging out with Sergio, the owner. Such a lovely person. Sergio, if you see this review, we'll be back in March. I owe you a sandwich!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
